Gerald Squires is best known as a landscape painter, though he’s also worked as a sculptor, a print maker, and a newspaper artist. Born in Change Islands, Squires moved to Toronto in 1949, where he lived until he returned to Newfoundland. He was made a member of the Order of Canada in 1999.
